Welcome to our blog of the resurrection of our 1984 24' FloteBote purchased on June 4, 2011. Although she has not been christened yet, we have decided to name her Semper Fi - short for Semper Fidelis - "Always Faithful". This is a tribute to all Marines and her Captain, Sgt. Lance J. Sockwell, USMC. Semper Fi is to be stripped, repaired and made new from the toons (pontoons to you landlubbers) up (except for engine). Follow us as we begin our shoestring budget restoration journey.......

Deja Vu! July 9, 2011
Well, not much to talk about for today except more of what we did on July 8th. Second and final coat on the panels. Looking good :) We received our vinyl from Veada and took the engine cover (all three pieces) to Junior at Classic Upholstery. Loaded up the railings and panels so we could take out to the pontoon tomorrow. Rested up after a week of very hard labor and scorching temps! More tomorrow!!!
